You may feel like you’ve been trying all your life and you’re still not where you want to be. That’s because where you want to be grows with you. So be patient, you are further along and closer to your next goal than you think.

You may be tired and feel like you’re prostrate on the floor but, in truth, you’ve the same life force coursing in your veins as you did the day you were born. You were just thinking about less things then than now. Focus back in on the things that you CAN do, and you may just feel a little more energized.

You may feel an inexorable sadness from your eyes to the depths of your soul, but you also know, deep down, that this is just part of the cycle and, if you give yourself half a chance, tomorrow or any day soon will bring happiness once again.

You may question where you are going and want to roll into a ball until solutions come, but then you’d miss all the beautiful achievements of those you love. And their smiles are your smiles until you find your way. Roll up, but roll with the flow.

You may feel like you’re being dictated to by a set of impenetrable forces, but there is always opportunity and choice to be had. You can always take a step out, a moment’s breath or a glance sideways. You may just like what you see.

Your world may seem lonely, packed with people who don’t understand you nor are capable of actually putting you first as you do them. But in truth, YOU have to put you first for any real change to happen. That doesn’t mean selfishness, that means self-reflexivity and awareness.

It may seem like you are too tired to haul yourself up by the bootstraps, too worn down to look for the good. But, you also know that that feeling frustrates and angers you. It frustrates and angers you, because you acknowledge on some level, it’s not tiredness that stops you but habit. Old thoughts patterns that stop you reaching up.
So little by little adjust the gaze of the minds’ eye.
And in the little angle shift, you’ll see light.
It only takes one single second of the light being absorbed for you to feel better, for you to see the world as a happier place and your universe as a nurturing home. Because you don’t have a life, you are life and you want and deserve to live it well.

Safi, this speaks to me, you know that :)… and I am aware (hoping it’s not wishful thinking) that this is a phase in some grand shift, plus, yesterday I heard in a webinar that during perimenopause, there’s a play between progesterone and the amygdala that affects mood and makes unresolved issues resurface giving you one last chance to deal and solve before it becoming part of your life, thus giving menopausal woman such a bad reputation, i.e. bitter, constantly angry, temperamental, etc… how about that?! so, I’m listening, acknowledging and taking care of THIS before it becomes engraved in me… big hug my dear friend, alexandra
